Durant, Cousins ‘di pa lalaro sa Game 1
OAKLAND, California — Tiyak nang hindi mapapanood si forward Kevin Durant sa pagsagupa ng Golden State Warriors laban sa Toronto Raptors sa Game One ng NBA Finals.
Ito ay dahil sa calf injury ni Durant, ayon kay Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
“KD’s not playing Game 1,” ani Kerr sa kanilang team practice kahapon.
“I think we already announced that, and we’ll see where it goes from here. This is where the fact that there’s a lot of days in between games during the finals helps us, so we’ll see,” dagdag pa ni Kerr.
Nangyari ang nasabing calf injury ni Durant noong Mayo 8 sa Game 5 ng kanilang Western Conference finals series ng Houston Rockets.
Wala ring katiyakan kung makakasama si Durant sa pagbiyahe ng Warriors patungong Toronto para harapin ang Raptors sa Martes.
“He’s been out kind of shooting some shots, but I haven’t talked to (trainer) Rick (Celebrini) today, so I’m not exactly sure what he’s done today,” sabi ni Kerr sa kanilang top scorer sa playoffs.
Samantala, hindi pa rin siguradong makakalaro si injured center DeMarcus Cousins (quadriceps) sa Game One.
Nagkaroon si Cousins ng tore quad muscle sa kaliwang binti sa Game Two ng first round laban sa Los Angeles Clippers noong Abril 15.
Sinabi ni Kerr na hindi na kinailangan ng surgery sa injury ni Cousins.
