Philracom charity races kumita ng P1.7M
MANILA, Philippines — Nagbigay ang Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) ng P1,722,173.86 sa Senate Spouses Foundation, Dalampasigang Manila Bay Foundation, Press Photographers of the Philippines, Buhay Isang Awit Foundation at Movie Workers Welfare Foundation bilang resulta ng kanilang 11 charity races noong Linggo sa Manila Jockey Club's San Lazaro Park sa Carmona, Cavite.
Sa pagkakaroon ng tig-apat na charity races ay matatanggap ng Senate Spouses Foundation, kinatawan ng anak ni Senate President Sen. Tito Sotto na si actress Ciara Sotto at Dalampasigang Manila Bay Rotary Foundation ang P626,245.04.
Nakakuha ang Senate Spouses Foundation ng karagdagang P1 milyon mula sa race host na Manila Jockey Club kung saan ibinigay ni MJC Deputy Chief Operating Officer Atty. Peter Zagala ang check donation.
Tinanggap naman ng PPP, pinamunuan ni president Jonathan Jalbuna, Buhay Isang Awit Foundation at Mowelfund ang tig-P156,561.26.
“This is the Philracom's humble contribution to the noble projects of these five foundations. We at the commission are delighted, knowing that our combined efforts to raise funds for their worthwhile programs will go a long way,” sabi ni Philracom Chairman Andrew A. Sanchez.
Ang nasabing 11 charity races ay ginamitan ng Rating-Based Handicapping System ng Philracom na resulta ng pakikipagtulungan sa International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.
