15 golds hinakot ng PSL swimmers sa Day 3 ng 2018 Tokyo Invitational

MANILA, Philippines — Umarangkada nang hus­to ang Philippine Swimming League (PSL) matapos kumana ng 15 ginto, 18 pilak at anim na tansong medalya sa ikatlong araw ng 2018 Tokyo Invitational Swimming Championship sa St. Mary’s International School swimming pool sa Tok­yo, Japan.

Nagparamdam ng la­kas sina General Santos Ci­ty bet Francisco Cordero III at Quezon City tanker Ri­chelle Ann Raine Callera nang parehong bumura ng re­kord.

Namayagpag si Corde­ro sa boys’ 11-12 50m breaststroke sa bendisyon ng impresibong 32.39 segundo para tabunan ang 33.65 na lumang marka ni Go Nagaoka noong 2013.

Bumida naman si Calle­ra sa girls’ 8-under 50m butterfly nang magrehistro ng 37.43 segundo sapat pa­ra palubugin ang 38.22 na dating rekord ni Natsuki Uchino noong 2015.

Nakasiguro pa si Callera ng ginto sa 50m freestyle event (35.63).

“We are proud of these young swimmers who fought hard to bring honors to our country. We dedicate this victory to the Filipino com­munity in Japan for their undying support to the whole team,” wika ni PSL pre­sident Susan Papa.

Nakipagsabayan naman si reigning Swimmer of the Year Marc Bryan Du­la ng Masville Elementary School-Parañaque la­ban sa mas matatanda at matatangkad na karibal pa­ra pagharian ang boys’ 11-12 100m butterfly sa pa­mamagitan ng 1:06.75.

Hindi rin maawat sina Mi­­caela Jasmine Mojdeh, Ellaiza Nicole Rojo at Aishel Cid Evangelista na nagdag­dag ng tig-tatlong gintong me­dalya.

Nanguna si Mojdeh sa girls’ 11-12 100m butterfly (1:04.67), 50m breaststroke (36.51) at 100m IM (1:09.93) habang namayani si Rojo sa girls’ 13-14 400m freestyle (4:57.77), 100m backstroke (1:14.30) at 200m IM (2:37.62) gayundin si Evangelista na nangi­babaw sa boys’ 8-under 50m freestyle (33.48), 25m backstroke (18.57) at 100m IM (1:23.56).

Galing ang iba pang gin­to kina Phency Joyce Bose (girls’ 15-18 50m freestyle, 29.68), Anika Rose Ga­la­raga (girls’ 13-14 200m butterfly, 2:52.58), at sa boys’ 11-12 200m medley relay, girls’ 11-12 200m medley re­lay at girls’ 13-14 400m med­ley relay.
