Altamirano umaasa pa sa kampanya ng Bulldogs
MANILA, Philippines – Umaasa si National University coach Eric Altamirano na muling magkakaroon ang Bulldogs ng isa pang “miraculous ending” kagaya sa nakaraang UAAP season.
Kasalukuyang nasa pang-lima ang Bulldogs sa kartang 5-7 at kailangan nilang walisin ang huling dalawang laro laban sa University of the Philippines at Far Eastern University.
Umaasa rin ang NU na hindi makuha ng La Salle (5-6) ang pang-walong panalo para makakuha sila ng playoff sa huling semis berth.
“We mentioned during one of our team meetings that we’ve been here before, there’s no reason why we can’t do it again,” wika ni Altamirano sa ginawang pagbangon ng Bulldogs para wakasan ang 60-year title drought noong 2014.
“But I think this season, we have to make our own miracle. It’s a lot harder but I always believe everything happens for a purpose. If it’s going to build our character, so be it,” ani Altamirano.
Maaaring idiskaril ng Green Archers ang naturang hangarin ng Bulldogs kung mananalo sila sa Ateneo, UP at FEU.
“We have three tough games (left) but I think it doesn’t really matter how NU closes their last two games. We just have to take care of our own business and be in control of what we can control,” ani DLSU mentor Juno Sauler.
Pasok na sa Final Four ang Tams (10-1) at ang University of Santo Tomas Tigers (9-2) at target ngayon ang ‘twice-to-beat’ incentives.
