RP flag itinaas na sa Asian Games Athletes' Village

GUANZSHOU, China - Pormal nang itinaas ang Philippine flag sa Pearl Ri­ver kahapon sa Asian Ga­mes Athletes’ Village.

Pinamunuan ni Chef de mis­sion Joey Romasanta ang mga opisyales at ilang at­leta mula sa chess, cycling at wushu sa nasabing flag raising rites.

Ayopn kay Romsanta, handang-handa na ang mga atleta para sumabak sa 28 sports events ng 16th Asian Games.

 “We (the POC and PSC) have prepared a lot for the Games, we leave it up to our athletes to compete well and enjoy the ga­mes,” wika ni Romasanta.

Magsisimula ang naturang 15-day meet bukas matapos ang parada nga­yong araw.

Nasa seremonya rin sina Philippine Sports Com­missioner Chito Loyzaga, deputy chef de mission Benjamin Espiritu, POC treasurer at wushu secretary general Julian Camacho at POC administrative officer Moying Martelino.

Ang mga chess players ay sina Wesley So, Eugene Torre at Joey Antonio.
