Ayala Malls spreads the magic of Christmas with sweet reunions
MANILA, Philippines — There is no better way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year than reuniting with family and friends face to face. From rekindling old relationships to making new memories, Ayala Malls intends to make this year’s Christmas truly amazing by hosting a series of activities to gather everyone, both young and old.
Headlining the series of activities is the fantastical staging of The Nutcracker by Steps Dance Studio, co-presented by Pandora.
“My father and I both share the love of ballet. And from when I was very, very little, Christmas was not the same without The Nutcracker,” said Steps Dance Studio Director Sofia Zobel-Elizalde.
“All over the world, The Nutcracker conjures memories. It brings families together and everyone gets to share the joy of the season,” she added.
The imaginative and wondrous setting of The Nutcracker makes it a timeless tale that captures people of all ages. Retold from generation to generation, the story comes to life once again yet on a grander scale as Steps Dance Studio goes on a mall tour exclusively at Ayala Malls.
From November to December, Steps Dance Studio is bringing the show to more Filipinos in different parts of the country, with accompaniment by the Mandaluyong Children’s Choir in Manila and Loboc Children’s Choir in Cebu.
The gala debut was held in Greenbelt and the tour continues on December 17 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay and December 18 at Glorietta.
The whimsical world of The Nutcracker is made even more dazzling with Pandora, which is setting up Christmas trees and vignettes featuring festive charms like the Nutcracker, snowflakes, reindeers and gingerbread houses from the brand’s holiday jewelry collection.
Mallgoers can interact and take photos with the pop-ups, which will be displayed in all malls where the shows will take place.
Holiday fairs and shopping promos
Ayala Malls sweetens the gatherings with ‘Sweet Festivals’ in select malls. While participating brands vary per location, each holiday fair aims to satisfy cravings of coffee lovers, sweet tooths and milk tea fanatics. Guests can also buy treats as presents for their next Christmas party.
