Faith heals!
Faith helps overcome illnesses and establish good health.
Dr. Hans Finsterer, a Viennese doctor, performed over 20,000 major operations, 8,000 of which were gastric resections using only local anesthesia. Thus, the International College of Surgeons bestowed on him its highest honor: “Master of Surgery.”
He combined the science of medicine with faith in healing, believing the “unseen hands of God” make an operation successful. He was dubbed “Honor Surgeon, Guided by God.”
Significantly, the word “holiness” comes from the word “wholeness” and “meditation” from “medication.” Modern medical science realizes the connection between how a man thinks and feels. Since religion deals with thoughts, feelings and basic attitudes, it makes the science of faith important to healing.
Many people are sick in thoughts and emotions. Emotional conflicts, negative feelings destroy cells of the body’s organs. Numerous evidence have buttressed the close interrelation between physical and spiritual human ills. They block the body’s inherent re-creative energy. Heal the spirit… heal the body.
As God created the mind and body, one can only get cured through His marvelous healing grace, and the physician’s skillful work, guided by Him!
