From dimples to principles, to raising the bar in their respective fields, PeopleAsia’s “Men Who Matter” awardees definitely “MANifested” excellence as they were honored at a recent awards night at the Diplomatic Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom Building in Newport City.

“As you all know, ‘Men Who Matter’ celebrates very accomplished and inspiring gentlemen who are making, or have made a mark, in their respective industries, sectors, professions or fields of expertise,” said Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez, PeopleAsia’s publisher on leave, during his welcome remarks.

And guests, who like the awardees were sporting traditional and modern Filipiniana, couldn’t agree more, as they cheered for their favorite gentlemen.

This year’s awardees were led by Senate minority leader Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV.

Also recognized were Alden Richards, independent journalist and Facts First host Christian Esguerra, BCDA president and CEO Joshua Bingcang, fashion show director Robby Carmona of SAGA EVENTS; Metro Pacific Agro Ventures Inc. CEO Jovy Hernandez; Move It Philippines general manager Wayne Jacinto; Lift Aesthetic Clinic’s Dr. Cyril Agan and Jan Conadera; Golden ABC Inc. vice president for strategy and operations Bryan Liu; interior designer Jonathan Matti; and Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. EVP and chief innovation and inclusion officer Lito Villanueva.

Aside from being awed by the beautiful event styling of MC Pascual and Sweet Comfort Events, guests who trooped to the Diplomatic Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom were also treated to a series of performances led by Ryan Cayabyab singer Poppert Bernadas from The Voice Philippines, as well as the Marcy David Band. Seasoned host Issa Litton emceed the event.

It wasn’t just the awardees who went home as winners that night, as three lucky guests won gift items from Bally and Burberry, courtesy of Store Specialists Inc.; and a roundtrip Manila-Singapore ticket from Singapore Airlines.
