WATCH: MMDA implements motorcycle-only lane amid yellow lane policy

MANILA, Philippines— The Metro Manila Development Authority on Tuesday enforced its motorcycle-only lane along EDSA to ease traffic congestion.

Traffic enforcers ordered motorcycle riders crossing into the yellow lane occupied by city buses to transfer to the motorcycle-only lane.

The traffic authority is implementing the motorcycle–only lane alongside the implementation of its yellow-lane policy.

Last week, the MMDA was criticized after it tightened implementation of the yellow-lane policy, where city buses are supposed to stay on the outermost lanes of EDSA. The move worsened traffic in the capital's main highway.

Despite this, the MMDA continued to implement the yellow-lane policy. —Rosette Adel
