Embracing a new era for China-Philippines friendship and cooperation

(As released) The past two years since President Duterte took office have witnessed the complete turnaround of China-Philippines relations and the blossoming of bilateral cooperation in various fields like flowers come in crowds. Chinese President Xi Jinping is about to pay a state visit to the Philippines.

As the first state visit of a Chinese president in 13 years, it will usher in a new era for the friendly cooperation between the two countries.

With a view to help our Philippine friends better understand the time-honoured friendship and achievements over the past 2 years in the mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries, the "Fuxing Road Studio" from China proudly presents two short videos, namely, "Working Together to Our Mutual Benefits" and "The Fountain of Hope."

"Working Together to Our Mutual Benefits" focuses on how Chinese investment and Chinese businesses in the Philippines bring quality jobs to local people and how two bridges constructed with Chinese assistance are expected to improve traffic conditions in Metro Manila, highlighting the positive changes resulting from the turnaround of China-Philippines relations and the latest progress in win-win cooperation between the two countries.

"The Fountain of Hope," tells about stories of how the China Foundation for Peace and Development, a civil society organisation, helped build a water pump station and the Bolton Elementary School in Davao City, which eased the water shortage and improved school facilities for local residents.
