Indian protesters paint angry messages against new law
GUWAHATI, India — Angry protesters in the northeastern city of Guwahati come together to paint messages opposing India's citizenship law that has sparked deadly protests across the country.
"This CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill) came like a wave as you can see in the painting. This game is totally about the power against the common people or the local people. Second thing, he (Modi) is doing for the vote bank," artist Gautam said.
"All us artists are protesting with our painting and urge the government to listen to people's voices and understand the voice of the artist," Nituparna Rajbongshi, also an artist, said.
