WATCH: CCTV footage shows indiscriminate firing in Malate, Manila

MANILA, Philippines— TThe Manila Police District on Thursday showed CCTV footage of an incident of indiscriminate firing during a shooting incident in Malate, Manila.

The suspect was reportedly walking along M.H. Del Pilar Street in Malate, Manila when he fired the gun.

Barangay officials who saw the shooting incident on the security camera reported the incident to the authorities and called for help

The Manila Police District and Special Weapons and Tactics personnel then responded to the incident and apprehended at least eight suspects.

A television report said the suspects were determined to be under the influence of alcohol.

The suspects, reportedly a group of friends composed of six males and two females, were brought to MPD Station 9.
