WATCH: US proud for helping Philippines reclaim Marawi

US ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim said that they are proud to have supported the Philippine military in its effort to reclaim Marawi city from Islamic State-inspired Maute group.

President Rodrigo Duterte declared the city liberated on October 17, 2017 after two of its leaders, Isnilon Hapilon and Omar Maute, were killed by government troops.

The US has donated at least P2.84 billion worth of equipment to the Philippine military including guns, munitions, drones and aircraft.
