MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs said the Philippines is in favor of a legally binding South China Sea code of conduct.
During the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit that ended on Tuesday, DFA spokesperson Robespierre Bolivar highlighted the importance of a COC that all parties would adhere to.
However, a draft of the framework of the COC, said that it would not serve as an instrument to settle territorial disputes or maritime delimitation issues in the South China Sea.
