Metro Manila roads closed for repair

MANILA, Philippines — Portions of several roads, including EDSA, were closed for repair starting last night, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Among the segments of EDSA’s southbound lanes that are undergoing repair since 11 p.m. yesterday are the first lane from the center island from Bulacan street to Philam; from Eugenio Lopez Drive to Timog Avenue and between West Avenue and Philam Village.

The innermost southbound lane of C. P. Garcia Bridge along C-5 Road and the second innermost southbound lane of C-5 Road fronting Palar Village in Taguig were also closed for reblocking.

The outer eastbound lane of Quirino Highway, from Junio street to Camilo Osias street; and the fifth eastbound lane from the sidewalk of Elliptical Road, before Commonwealth Avenue, all in Quezon City, were also closed for repair.

The westbound lane of Gen. Luis street in Novaliches, Quezon City (before Oriental Tin Cans) was also closed for reblocking.

The northbound lanes of these roads are being repaired: the first lane from the sidewalk of A. Bonifacio Avenue near Sgt. Rivera street; the first lane from the center island of Batasan-San Mateo Road and from Sapphire Drive to Presidential Road; and the first lane from the sidewalk of EDSA from Main Avenue to P. Tuazon.

The affected roads would be passable again by 5 a.m. on Monday, the MMDA said.
