‘Mother of Philippine handicrafts’

MANILA, Philippines - • The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhlPost) recently released stamps to commemorate the birth centenary of Salud Tesoro (1915-2015), considered the mother of Philippine handicrafts. She founded Tesoro’s in 1945 and with 12 branches across the country, the specialty shop is currently one of the

largest Philippine handicraft retail chains.

PhlPost printed 102,400 stamps to commemorate Tesoro’s 100th birth anniversary and her passion to showcase the best of Philippine handicrafts, Postmaster General Josie dela Cruz said.
