On Yorme’s Manila COVID Field Hospital

Giving credit where it is due, as they say, is the hallmark of gratitude!  So, with a deep sense of appreciation and gratitude, congratulations to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso for having the foresight of putting up the Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital even before the surge of the pandemic. This COVID-19 hospital comprises 344 air-conditioned rooms, provides free meals and staffed with very competent, highly motivated health care workers. Though the number of Covid-19 patients has mercurially risen these past few days, Manila has sufficient stock of the best medicines to counter this, being made available to all Filipinos. Bilis Kilos talaga si Yorme Isko!

Thankfully, our just-arrived 104 infected OFWs were immediately housed in this first-class quarantine facility, that is now fully occupied. Hopefully, this spark of pro-active, pro-people endeavor can ignite similar actions in other LGUs, just like what Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano has done. Helping and working together with the concerned government agencies like the Department of Health, IATF and others, we shall and can emerge from this COVID-19 and its Omicron variant – victoriously, healthily!

As for us the citizenry, it is our moral obligation and responsibility to vigorously practice established health protocols to help contain this pandemic.
