Stay home, save lives

The Philippine Star

The health issue on coronavirus or also known as the COVID-19 is not really a joke. It is a worldwide problem that we are battling now.  It does not discriminate age, sex, race nor the state of life. The truth in here is that it kills and who ever be the victim will die alone, no family and friend in his/her side until he put into rest.

Today, the death toll jumps to 362 including our medical frontliners who are not only battling the pandemic COVID-19 but also battling for their own lives. As of today, 22 Philippine doctors already died because of the virus. As health practitioners, they did not even escape from the violence of COVID-19. How much more those ordinary citizens?

Accordingly, the doctors got the virus because there were some infected persons or patients who did not declare that they have symptoms of COVID-19 or has already COVID-19 because they were afraid that they will be isolated or discriminated.

Well, this is truly an irresponsible act. If these people will continue to do such thing, not only doctors will die but all of us. If we want to go back on our normal lives, we go to work, to schools, to vacations, community quarantine or total lock down will be lifted, let us cooperate and do our part. Let us be responsible. Let us help fight COVID-19. Cooperate with the government. This is not just a fight of one or some, it is a fight of everyone. So, stay at home and save lives. – Sandra Ballaran, Peace Advocate
