Victory against terrorism

Recently, President Duterte released his marching order to the military to “destroy” the Abu Sayyaf following the deadly bombing of Jolo, Sulu cathedral on Sunday that resulted to the death of 22 individuals and wounding of a hundred people.

Well, the order of the president is just right. The perpetrators just got a taste of their own medicine, and for me it should be worse than what they did to the helpless victims of their terrorist activity.

Yes, we have all the assets. Though our armed forces are not yet fully modernized we still have the capability. Our state forces have succeeded during the Marawi siege so there is no reason our soldiers would not be victorious.

As an ordinary citizen I cannot help fight this terrorist group like our soldiers, but I can help them through my support and prayers that may they accomplish their mission and return home to their families safe and sound. – EDWARD AQUINO MARQUEZ, Lancaster, Cavite
