DepEd OKs 2nd batch of senior high vouchers

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) has released the second list of approved applicants for the senior high school voucher program.

Applicants who completed their applications from April 3 to 27 may now view the results at the online voucher application portal at http://ovap.deped.gov.ph/.

DepEd has yet to release the number of applicants that qualified for the program this year.

It said qualified applicants may now print their certificates and submit it to non-DepEd senior high schools, which are allowed to implement the voucher program.

“The voucher must be redeemed this school year,” said the agency.

The voucher program has been implemented by the government since 2016 to provide students with more options in choosing which track to pursue in senior high school.
