Prepare for hotter days and nights ahead, surpassing the already scorching heat as temperatures could reach over 40 degrees Celsius in the coming weeks.

The temperature reached 40 degrees Celsius in Isabela on Monday, the hottest in the country so far this year, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

"Given the current weather conditions, we urge everyone to minimize non-essential visits, particularly with vulnerable family members."
