Polytechnic University of the Philippines pushes for diversity in annual Pride Week

MANILA, Philippines — With the theme “Putting We In Diversity,” the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) held its annual PUP Pride Week, a celebration that aims to provide a safe space for gender expression. Helmed by Kasarianlan, activities spread out within the three days, which included seminars discussing sexual awareness, microaggressions towards members of the community and representations of LGBT in media. The Pride March was capped with performances from guests Nicki Balaj and Lady Gagita.
