Nganong daghan man ang gustong mag-party-list representative?

Una sa tanan, kini unang Republic Act No. 7941 nga sa declaration of policy nagkanayon:

“The State shall promote proportional representation in the election of representatives to the House of Representatives through a party-list system of registered national, regional, and sectoral parties or organizations or coalitions thereof, which will enable Filipino citizens belonging to the marginalized and underrepresented  sectors, organizations and parties, and who lack well-defined constituencies but who could contribute to the formulation and enactment of appropriate legislation that will benefit the nation as a whole, to become members of the House of Representatives.”

Taas no? Ang buot ipasabot dinhi nga pinaagi sa party-list system law, ang mga kabus ug timawa  kining ilang gitawag nga marginalized ug underrepresented nga hut-ong sa katilingban, kahatagan og higayon pagpili og mga tinugyanan nga maoy modala sa ilang tingog didto sa hawanan sa House of Representatives. Nindot no?

Mangutana ta, kining inyong mga party-list representatives, unsa may ilang nahimo didto sa Kongreso, nakahatag ba kaninyo’g daghang kaayohan? Nakadungog ko nga duna diay senior citizen party-list representative didto sa Kongreo.

Mao ba? Wa man gani ta makaila kaniya. Isip na-belong ang mga senior sa kon duna man, unsa may iyang nahimong mga kaayohan ngadto sa mga senior citizens isip marginalized sector?

Kamo, unsa man usab ang mga kaayohan nga inyong napahimuslan gikan sa inyong party-list representative?

Anyway, nganong daghan man kaayo ang gustong mag party-list representative? Nag-awas-awas ba gayud ang lang gugma ngadto sa mga kabus ug timawa?

Salamat kon mao kini ang ilang mga tinguha.

Unya, ang Section 17 niining maong Balaud nagkanayon: “Party-list representatives shall be entitled to the same salaries and emoluments as regular members of of the House of Representatives.”

Hayahaya no? Mahimong maglingkod-lingkod lang ka didto sa hawanan sa House of Representatives, apan entitled ka sa samang sweldo ug prebilihiyo  sa regular nga mga representatives.

Of course, duna gyuy mga party-list representatives nga nagtinarong sa ilang mga katungdanan ug nakahatag og mga kaayohan ngadtos sa sector nga gilang gi-representahan. Kanila, saludo ko.

Sa atong pagsulat niini, aduna  nay mga 239 party-list petition for registration alang sa 2022 nga elecrtions. Daghana no?

Daghan diay kaayo ang nahigugma ug buot mualagad sa marginalized sector.

Ug niining gidaghanon, 70 porsiyento ang gi-turned down, o gi-dismiss, gumikan sa bisan unsa lang nga hinungdan.

Sayon kaayo ang pagdaug pagka-party-list representative. Ania ato kining kutluon: “The parties, organizations, and coalitions receiving at least two percent (2%) of the total votes cast for the party-list system shall be entitled to one seat each.”

So, sa total number sa party-list votes cast, kon makakuha’g 2 porsiyento niini ang usa ka party-list organization, entitled nag usa ka lingkuranan sa Ubos Balay Balauranan.

Kagamay ining 2 percent of the total party-list votes!.

Perhaps, usa kini sa mga hinungdan ngano nga daghan kaayo ang interesado mag-party-list representative. Kay dili lisud ang pagdaug, basta motuman lang sa mga requirements sa Comelec kinsa kadtong buot magpa-rehistro.

By the way, ang deadline alang voters’ registration alang sa 2022 elections, mao ang Septyembre 30.

In another development, the Comelec urged the public to register for the 2022 polls, reminding them that voter registration is down to 67 days before it closes on Sept. 30, which will not be extended.
