Pension sa mga indigent seniors doblehon

Niay nindot nga balita alang sa indigent nga mga senior citizens, kining pag-approve na sa House of  Representatives sa HB 9459 nga mag-usbaw sa social pension sa poorest-of-the poor nga mga senior citizens. Kini gikan sa P500 ngadto na sa P1,000.

Ang maong balaudnon nag-amendar sa RA 7432 nga unang naaprobahan sa committee on senior citizens pinangulohan ni Senior Citizen Party-list Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes.

So, dos porsiyento ra sa total number of party-list votes nationwide ang gikinahanglan aron makadaug, balig usa ka representante; kon 4% duha ka representante, ug 6% tulo na ka Tinugyanan ang atong makapalingkod didto sa Kongreso.

Akong tan-aw, bisan kon kita lang dinhi sa Central Visayas, makapadaug na kta’g at least usa ka senior citizens representative. Kana, kon magkahiusa kita. Apan, imposible kining mahitabo tungod kay kitang mga Pinoy lisod usahon.

Dugang kasayoran: How shall the votes for the party-list be counted? Tubag: “Because the voting will be at large, and not by sector, all votes obtained by a party regardless of constituency will be tallied on a nationwide basis.”

Kahinumdom pa mo unsay tuyo o objective sa party-list system? “To have a proportional representation in Congress of the marginalized, underrepresented sectors, to specifically addressed the specific needs and concerns of its specific constituency.” Lakip na niini unta kitang mga senior citizens.

Ila usab gipapas ang phrase nga “frail, sickly and disabled,” pag-describe sa kahimtang panglawas sa mga pensioner. “Now, our senior citizens just have to prove that they do not have a permanent source of income,” dugang ni Ordanes.  Kon makapamatuod ka lang nga wala kay permanenting kinitaan, mo-qualify o maka-avail ka na sa social pension.

Kon mapasar usab ang counterpart nga balaudnon sa Senado, ug mapirmahan na ni Presidente Duterte, P1,000 na ang madawat sa indigent nga mga senior citizens.

Si Senate President Vicente Sotto III  maoy nangamahan sa counterpart nga balaudnon.
