Ato ning padayonon sa sunod natong mga gula.

In the meantime, mag-halloween una ta. Ania kining gikan sa internet: “Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31, and Halloween 2020 will occur on Saturday, October 31. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in), when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.”

So, ang tuyo niini mao ang pagpapahawa sa mga kalag (multo?). Sa eighth century, si Pope Gregory III mi-designate sa Nov. 1 nga all saints day pagpasidungog sa mga Santos.

So, dugay na diay kaayo kining atong pagsaulog sa all saints’ day. “All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.” Giingon dinhi nga ang mga Celts, “who lived 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.”

So, Nov.1. ang ilang  bag-ong tuig. adlaw nga nagtapos sa summer ug pag-harvest, ug pagsugod sa tingtugnaw, winter. Ang maong adlaw, gi-associate with human death.

Maoy pagtuo sa mga Celts nga ang gabii o besperas sa ilang new year (Nov1), ilang gisaulog ang Samhain, “ when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead (multo?) returned to earth.”

By the way, giingon dinhi nga “one quarter of all the candy sold annually in the U.S. is purchased for Halloween.” Ngiga no?

Mora’g wa man kaayo dinhi mauso sa atong nasud. Ang gikabuangan samga Pinoy mao kining horrible kaayo nga mga maskara, mga maskara nga nag-promote sa mga yawa ug panulay, pagpahalipay ug pagpahiuyon sa kagustoan ni Satanas.

Padayon: “By 43 A.D., the Roman Empire had conquered the majority of Celtic territory. By the 9th century, the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands, where it gradually blended with and supplanted older Celtic rites. In 1000 A.D., the church made November 2 All Souls’ Day, a day to honor the dead. It’s widely believed today that the church was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, church-sanctioned holiday.
