MANILA, Philippines — Handa na si World Junior Championships semifinalist Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh na makipagsabayan sa matitikas na foreign tankers sa Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC) Swimming Championships na aarangkada ngayong araw sa Seoul Foreign School sa Seoul, South Korea.

Tangan ang bandera ng Brent International School, sasabak si Mojdeh sa girls’ 200m Individual Medley, 100m Individual Medley at 100m butterfly.

Masisilayan din ito sa girls’ 4x100m freestyle relay at 4x100m medley relay.

Malamig ang panahon sa Seoul na umaabot sa negative two degrees — isa sa malaking pagsubok sa mga atletang nasa tropical country.

Subalit sanay na si Mojdeh sa ganitong uri ng panahon dahil hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na lalaban ito sa malalamig na lugar.

Nasubukan na nitong sumabak sa Japan, France, South Africa at China tuwing winter season.

“Malamig ang weather pero sanay naman na ako sa ganitong weather dahil lumaban na rin ako sa mga ibang countries during winter season,” ani Mojdeh.

Maliban kay Mojdeh, sasabak din sina Kira Ellis, Kira Louise Hedeager, Sofia Imasa, Natalia Lucia Javier, Kirsten Robyn Tan at Natalie Ward gayundin sina Marco Ziguel Campos, Connor Thomas Hodges, Ethan Joseph Hodges, Park Gwanjoon, Park Jun Seo at Ethan Matthew Waskiewicz.

“She’s ready to compete. It’s our first time si South Korea and we’re excited to see her foreign counterparts in this region. We’re all hoping to win medals,” ani Swim League Philippines chairman Joan Mojdeh.

Mapapalaban ang mga Brent International School swimmers sa pambato ng Canadian Academy, Concordia International School Shanghai, Hong Kong International School, United Nations International School of Hanoi, Taejon Christian International School at American International School of Guangzhou.

Dumating din ang delegasyon ng International School of Beijing, Seoul Foreign School, Shanghai American School-Pudong, Shanghai American School-Puxi at Western Academy of Beijing.
