A failed plan

A small family decided to go to the resort on a Monday so they could “outsmart” those who are likely to go there on weekends. When they arrived, they were the only customers. They felt relieved. Their plan had worked.

Well, not quite. One by one, more guests started coming in. Before lunch, the entire line of cottages was all occupied. There were a lot of kids, young adults, and parents. They were enjoying the pools, the slides, and other amenities, without apparent regard to the coronavirus. As for the small family, they quickly packed their things, including their supposed lunch, and headed back home.
