The President is said to be "focused on addressing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic" as a group of supporters of President Duterte is looking to establish a revolutionary government until June 2022 with Duterte leading it. They even invited PNP Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa to discuss their plans. They gathered at the Clark Freeport Zone where they planned a march to Malacanang to drum up support. Duterte in his Tuesday national address said he has nothing to do with the group, even saying he does not know them. The Palace was sort of the last to reject the idea of a revolutionary government.

DND Sec. Lorenzana immediately stated they do not support that group. Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Southern Luzon Command chief Maj. Gen. Antonio Parlade said he does not believe in a revolutionary government because our Constitution is robust. The PNP has also come out saying they will never support a revolutionary government and will follow the Constitution. There you have it. The Palace, AFP, DND, and PNP have stated that they will not support a revolutionary government. At least for now.

Perhaps as the 2022 election approaches, they may change their minds. Perhaps when the reality sets in that the lifestyles they have gotten used to and enjoyed may be over, a push for a revolutionary government may move forward. This was the opinion of Sen. Panfilo Lacson who believed the people pushing for a revolutionary government are worried about the good lives they live. Indeed, how many times have we heard politicians change their minds at the last minute? How many times have we heard promises of politicians unfulfilled?

But let us say the DND, PNP, and AFP are true to their role in defending the Philippine Constitution. This should be a slap in the face of that group's plan. That should stop them right in their tracks. But the DILG recently said what they were pushing for is not inciting to sedition. Sec. Roque also said they were free to express what they believed in. Pretty much gives them the go-ahead to do what they want. But a revolutionary government is supposedly unconstitutional. So what legs are this group standing on? I think if members of the opposition proposed a revolutionary government, they would be facing jail terms so fast it would make your head spin. But let's leave that to the authorities. We can only hold on to what has been said by the above-mentioned institutions regarding the moves of this pro-Duterte group. Again, for now.
