Death by hazing, not haze

THE EAR - The Freeman

WORRIED. A man who read about the haze from the Indonesia forest fires became worried after reading about a cadet who died supposedly at the hands of his upperclassmen.

His friends had to clear up the issue.

“Lahi na ang hazing, lahi sad na ang haze,” one of them explained.

The man had thought the cadet’s upperclassmen had forced him to breathe the haze, thereby killing him.
