Behold, your DU30!!!

PERSPECTIVE - Cherry Piquero Ballescas - The Freeman

This is our prayer for DU30 and his followers- that they may see.

Remember Mark 10:51-52? “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

To DU30’s followers and minions who laugh and even clap at his jokes, his curses, including his latest remarks about God, may they humbly go before the genuine God and be healed of their blindness.

What are DU30’s followers failing to see?

Let us all remember not to forget: 1) the unresolved P6.4-billion smuggled shabu allegedly linked to his son, Paolo; 2) the increasing number of EJKs and the unresolved cases of those unjustly killed, including the “ tambay” Genesis; 3) the millions of public funds that the Tulfos and Calida have to return; 4) the undeserved billions of funds for PCOO that churn false and incorrect news; 5) the economic woes under DU30 — the weakened peso against the dollar, the lopsided balance of payment, increased interest rates, weakened stock market, the increase in prices brought by TRAIN and adversely affecting especially the poor; 6) the Chinese loan invasion and gradual loss of our sovereignty; 7) the pathetic plight of those in Boracay and in Marawi; and more.

The DU30’s followers are missing to see the real God — full of love, full of light, full of life. With DU30 whom they worship, daily, they are exposed to his hate, his dark world and words, his killings. And this is the god, the leader they want their children and our Filipino youth to follow and emulate?

And DU30’s spokesperson again defends his boss — and tells those who believe in the genuine GOD not to be onion-skinned when DU30 calls God stupid. Wow, how much longer will these blind remain blind? And how many of the real believers will accept this latest tirade against their God?

Although difficult, there are those who are following these words in Romans 12: 9-21: “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.”

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”

“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”

On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” When darkness and the forces of those who think themselves perfect and those who think they are not stupid like our God surround us, it is time to rejoice for our victorious God of light and life, our Savior and Redeemer, is near.
