Afraid to kill druglords

THE EAR - Rosette Adel - The Freeman

BANKROLL. Newly elected town officials are in a quandary on how to implement the anti-drug campaign of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte. A political observer told The Freeman that there are officials who do not want to go on killing drug lords and drug pushers who bankrolled their political campaigns in the past elections.

PROTECTION. According to this political observer, one mayor in a town gathered other officials who got elected in the last elections to discuss how to deal with a drug lord in their area who allegedly enjoys the protection of a police general who also was operating for a political party in two immediate past elections.

NO. 1. This druglord, allegedly financed the political campaign of noted officials, said this Ear informer. This druglord could be the No. 1 in Cebu, but the police prefer not to present him as such.
