Freedom Day

FREEDOM DAY. The nation celebrated Independence Day last June 12th but there was a group of five senior citizens who just watched the celebration in silence. This group celebrates Philippine Independence in a big way every July 4th. The members of the group call July 4th as the "actual and genuine" Philippine Freedom Day.

AMERICA. A spokesman of this group said to an Ear informer: "Nobody but nobody ever talked about Philippine Independence until the United States of America granted us our independence in 1946." He said only when America granted us our independence did we become respected as a member of the free nations of the world.
