Shoal standoff worrying young Tsinoys in Cebu

SHOAL STANDOFF. The standoff between the Philippines and China over the Panatag Shoal (Scarborough Shoal) is worrying some Chinese youths belonging to a Fil-Sino friendship club. One member, a girl of 18 who was born in Cebu, was heard telling an interviewer: “I know for whom my heart beats but that would put me in trouble if I reveal it”

TSINOYS. Two young Tsinoys who were born in Cebu told a foreign wire service interview they were hoping the standoff will be over soon. “Can’t the Manila do something to ease the tension?”asked one Tsinoy whose Chinese father is Phl-born.
