A double celebration

A function room at Manila House Private Members Club was beautifully adorned with red roses, candles and floating glass balls for the joint birthday celebration of Cris Albert of Fila and Tina Cuevas of Sulo Riviera Hotel. The stunning venue was decorated by Robert Blancaflor.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served prior to dinner where guests enjoyed a six-course dinner that included chicken binakol, Filipino salad, grilled ulang (river prawns) with gising-gising, Japanese A4 Omi Wagyu bistek Tagalog and frozen brazo de mercedes.

Toasts and speeches for the celebrators followed after the dinner. Cris Villonco serenaded guests with beautiful songs as guests later joined in on the singing.

Champagne and wine poured freely as these two lovely, generous and fiercely loyal friends of mine celebrated turning another year older but wiser!

Happy third birthday, Landers!

I have been shopping in Landers for three years now and I never get tired of it!

For its third anniversary, Landers treated its customers at its ArcoVia City, Pasig branch to a magical afternoon filled with musical shows and games. (The ArcoVia City branch is where I always go to, especially because Popeyes has a branch there, too!)

The Super Anniversary Show kicked off with Stories from a Suitcase, a musical presentation where kids got to sing and dance along to popular songs from fairy tales. Adults joined the fun as they participated in Landers Minute Games, a Minute To Win It-inspired segment hosted by Nico Bolzico.

The event ended with another musical show by Clowning Around, followed by a meet-and-greet with well-loved fairy-tale characters so kids could have photos with them.
