During Anya Resort Tagaytay’s  recently mounted Art Infusion Fair, fashion, food, music, dance and well-being were infused with art as they were celebrated at the boutique resort’s beautifully designed suites.?

At the fair, our very own local merchants came together to showcase their creations in a whole-day trunk show. Products on sale included accessories, apparel, bags and footwear. Good Luck, Humans; Silk Cocoon; and Junk Not! were some of the merchants that offered 10 percent of their sales to the Roxas Foundation in order to help empower communities through skill and technology training.

There was also an essential oils talk at the resort’s Borderless Library, conducted by Marilen Elizalde and Geri Gil. The talk focused on the topic of clean living in our home environment to prevent all types of ailments.

Art in Pizzas activity participants Manu, Amber and Arabella craft their own pizza with Anya executive chef Jonathan Bouthiaux.

Art in food was seen at a delectable array of infused selections, prepared by Anya’s executive chefs. A celebration was held in Art in Pizzas, which allowed kids to express their creativity by making their own pizzas. A special menu was also made for the barbecue dinner and the man behind Engkanto beer Ian Paradies presented his knowledge on beer with a tapas-pairing session.

Art in music was experienced through a street dance and hip-hop session for children conducted by Steps Dance studio. The night ended with a jamming session by the Hernandez Brothers’ percussion and drums set.?

Inspired by the beach lifestyle

Seafolly’s new concept store inside Rustan’s Makati is inspired by the brand’s island home, Australia. The brightly-lit 28-sq.-m. space on the second floor offers swimwear, clothes and accessories.

Asian business development manager Gina Anstee said,  “Known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient,’ the Philippines is composed of over 7,000 tropical islands. Home to some of the world’s best beaches, it’s a destination of every beach lover. Opening doors was a natural next step for one of the world’s most iconic swimwear brands. The locals enjoy tropical retreats and we at Seafolly look forward to endorsing that lifestyle.”

Chief executive officer Paul Kotraba added, “As part of our global expansion strategy, opening Seafolly brand anchors internationally is key. Seafolly has a strong international wholesale business that has delivered healthy year-on-year growth; however we see significant opportunities to expand on this business and become a market leader reflective of our position in our home market, Australia.”
