Minors from Baguio, Bulacan rescued from creek in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — A boy from Baguio City and a girl from San Jose del Monte in Bulacan were rescued from a creek in Quezon City on Friday.
Responders found the two minors shivering, incoherent and lying at a side of the creek near Bernardo Park in Barangay Pinagkaisahan at 7 a.m.
Some residents who saw the minors called on authorities for help.
A video taken by Emerson Bon and uploaded on social media showed the boy shouting in pain as two men lifted him off the ground. The girl also complained of pain in her buttocks.
Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection gave first aid to the victims and put on emergency thermal blankets to stabilize their temperatures.
The minors were brought to a hospital for treatment and later endorsed to their parents.
The Quezon City Police District said it is doing backtracking investigation to determine how the two ended up at the creek.
“Coordination with the concerned authorities and the minors’ respective guardians is being undertaken to ensure that their safety, welfare and appropriate support are properly addressed,” the QCPD said in a statement.
