South Korean caught with P7.15 million ketamine

MANILA, Philippines — A South Korean man was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 in Pasay after he yielded ketamine valued at P7.15 million on Sunday.
The 39-year-old suspect, known only as Han, was nabbed during final security screening at the domestic departure area.
The foreigner, who was supposed to board a flight to Cebu, was detained after airport authorities found a suspicious item in his backpack.
It turned out he was in possession of 1.43 kilos of ketamine, which he stashed in bundles of toiletries, banana chips and dried mangoes.
The suspect is facing drug charges under Republic Act 9165.
