Torre reassigns Fajardo to PNP finance

MANILA, Philippines — In another major reshuffle in the Philippine National Police (PNP), Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo was reassigned to head the directorate for comptrollership yesterday.
In an order, PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III transferred Fajardo to the directorate for comptrollership, which is principally concerned with the management of the PNP’s financial resources.
She replaced Maj. Gen. Neil Alinsangan who was promoted as director of the Area Police Command in Eastern Visayas.
As director for comptrollership, Fajardo is the adviser of the chief PNP on budgetary matters of the police forces.
Fajardo is also the concurrent spokesperson for the PNP.
Brig. Gen. Rogelio Penones was assigned to take over Fajardo’s post as Central Luzon police director.
Torre also designated Brig. Gen. Jerry Protacio as the new commander of the Cagayan Valley police. Protacio previously served as chief of the PNP Information Technology Management Service.
