Bong Go aids Tondo fire victims

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go on Wednesday visited residents of Barangay 218 in Tondo, Manila who were displaced by a fire recently.

Go and his “Malasakit” team distributed assistance to 91 residents at a covered court in Barangay 204.

The fire victims were given grocery packs, basketballs, volleyballs, shirts and snacks.

The national government also extended emergency housing assistance to qualified beneficiaries.

Go said they hope to help the affected families rebuild their homes.

He reiterated his commitment to addressing housing challenges as he filed Senate Bill No. 192, which seeks to establish a rental housing subsidy program for disaster victims.
