Palace to honor OFWs with concert

MANILA, Philippines — To honor the sacrifices of overseas Filipino workers and their contribution to the country’s economic development, the OFWs will be treated tonight to a concert at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang.
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said OFWs and their families are set to enjoy a night filled with fun and entertainment in the event dubbed “Konsyerto sa Palasyo.”
Initiated by the Office of the President, the concert will feature inspiring stories of triumph and trials of OFWs and their excellence on the global stage that fosters pride for the Filipino nation.
“Our OFWs, the new heroes together with their families serve as the strength of our country. We will never get tired of providing services and programs that will benefit them,” DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac said in a statement.
The Konsyerto sa Palasyo for OFWs and their families is the 6th installment of the concert series that underscores the government’s commitment to nurturing Philippine arts while honoring the various sectors of Philippine society.
Apart from the OFWs, similar events were organized to honor soldiers, teachers, healthcare workers, athletes, whose unwavering dedication and excellence embody the true essence of nation-building.
