MANILA, Philippines  — Ten party-list groups are leading in a pre-election survey conducted by the OCTA Research group.

Results of the March 18 to 24 poll released on Monday showed ACT-CIS as the most preferred party-list, gaining the support of 8.7 percent of the respondents.

Tingog followed at second with 5.77 percent, 4PS (5.4 percent), Ako Bicol (4.2 percent), Senior Citizens (3.7 percent), Galing sa Puso (3.14 percent), Duterte Youth (2.87 percent), Tupad (2.36 percent), Malasakit@Bayanihan (2.33 percent), Ang Probinsyano (2.12 percent) and FPJ Panday Bayanihan (2.03 percent).

Out of the 10 party-list groups, only Tupad and FPJ Panday Bayanihan do not have seats in the present Congress.

Up to 155 party-list organizations are running in the May midterm elections.

Under the law, party-lists that secure at least two percent of the votes are guaranteed one seat in Congress.

According to OCTA, 24 other party-list groups may secure congressional seats based on the results of its March survey.

These include Agri, Kalinga, Uswag Ilonggo, Agap, Anakalusugan, PPP, ABP, Pinoy Workers, Agimat, Angkasangga and Akbayan.

New party-lists stand out

Six new party-lists are expected to secure one seat in the House of Representatives, according to a survey conducted by research firm Tangere.

Based on a poll conducted from April 8 to 10, FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list, whose first nominee is Brian Poe Llamanzares, received a voter preference of 3.75 percent.

The other five party-list groups recorded a notable increase in voter preference.

These are Ang Bumbero ng Pilipinas (2.35 percent), Solid North (2.00 percent), Partido sa Bagong Pilipino (1.75 percent), Tulfo para sa Turismo (1.52 percent) and Abante Bisdak (1.52 percent).

The Tangere survey used 2,400 respondents through a mobile application and had a margin of error of plus/minus 1.96 percent.
