MANILA, Philippines — The remains of the two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who died in Myanmar following a 7.7-magnitude earthquake will be repatriated soon, according to the Department of Migrant Workers.

DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac said the Philippine embassy in Yangon is arranging the repatriation of the OFWs.

The Philippine government, Cacdac said, would provide the necessary assistance to the families of the OFWs.

He visited the families of the OFWs and conveyed sympathies on behalf of President Marcos.

The DMW has also reached out to Filipino workers in Mandalay and assured them of financial aid.
