MANILA, Philippines — Two American pedophiles were prevented from entering the country through the Clark International Airport, according to the Bureau of Immigration.

In a statement, BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said Jeremy Paul Beazer, 45, and Michael Antonio Rios, 54, were intercepted and denied entry after arriving in separate flights from Taipei, Taiwan on April 4 and 8, respectively.

“Our intention here is to prevent convicted sexual predators from preying on our women and children,” Viado said.

Records show that Beazer was convicted by a US court in 2001 for “carnal knowledge of a juvenile.” Rios was sentenced in 1989 for sexual assault on a child.
