21 hurt in Baguio jeepney, taxi collision

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines —  At least 21 people were rushed to a hospital after a public utility jeepney collided with a taxicab at Purok 10 in Barangay Bakakeng Central here.

According to the Baguio City police, the jeep was headed downhill in the barangay when it lost its brakes. The driver lost control of the jeepney, which rammed a taxicab on the opposite lane.

The impact sent the jeepney rolling on its side, police said.

Of the 21 people, which include the taxi driver, only two have been discharged from the hospital.
