Barangay chief shot dead in village hall

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A barangay chairman was killed in an attack that occurred in the village hall in Arayat, Pampanga on Sunday night.

Norberto Lumbang, 57, of Barangay Lacquios, died due to multiple gunshot wounds in the body, according to Col. Jay Dimaandal, Pampanga police director.

Investigation showed the victim was in the barangay hall when a car with four men pulled over.

Three men stepped out of the car and shot the victim before fleeing.
