Nueva Ecija lotto bettor wins P36 million jackpot

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija is P36 million richer, before taxes, after winning the jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 drawn on Monday night.

The bettor guessed the winning numbers 30-17-06-12-04-29, which had a total jackpot of P36,025,867.40, according to Melquiades Robles, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager and vice chairman of the board.

Sixty-nine other bettors won P100,000 each for guessing five of the winning numbers.

The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law imposes a 20-percent tax on lotto winnings above P10,000.

The Grand Lotto 6/55 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
