Manila Cathedral opens to confessions
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Cathedral is urging the faithful to participate in its Lenten activities, which includes the hearing of confessions from Monday to Saturday.
In a Facebook post, the Manila Cathedral said the sacrament of confession is available from 10 a.m. to noon.
“Welcome home, Pilgrims! As Lenten pilgrimages begin, we welcome all of you to the Manila Cathedral, the Mother Church of our country,” the Cathedral said.
“We hope that your visit to our Cathedral will truly be a spiritual experience to prepare ourselves for the worthy celebration of the paschal mystery of our Lord,” it added.
The Cathedral said the faithful may also venerate a relic of Jesus Christ’s cross, which will be on display during Lent.
Devotees may also pray at the stations of the cross around the cathedral and in the adoration chapel, which will be opened “for quiet personal prayer.”
