QCPD’s 7-day ops net 245 suspects

MANILA, Philippines — Almost 250 suspects were arrested as the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) launched intensified operations against crime last week.

In a statement yesterday, the QCPD said 245 suspects were rounded up from Jan. 23 to 29.

Police said they conducted 65 anti-narcotics operations, which led to the arrest of 114 suspects.

A total of 344.3 grams of shabu valued at P2.34 million and 20 grams of dried marijuana leaves were confiscated during the period.

The QCPD also apprehended 131 people wanted for various offenses.
