MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will experience fair weather in the next three days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday.

State weather forecasters said the northeast monsoon or amihan would continue to bring cold weather and isolated light rains over Luzon including Metro Manila until Thursday.

It said the low-pressure area (LPA) earlier spotted 180 kilometers east of Butuan City in Agusan del Norte is expected to dissipate in the next 48 hours.

The trough or the extension of the LPA may still bring cloudy skies with some rain over Southern Tagalog, Palawan and Metro Manila.

Bicol and Eastern Visayas were forecast to have higher chances of rain in the next three days due to the LPA and the shear line, PAGASA said.
