2 women shot dead in Quezon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two women were killed in a gun attack in Tiaong, Quezon on Tuesday night.

Jessica Tambado, 28, and Lanilyn Caya were at their rented house in Sitio Laluses in Barangay Talisay when two men arrived and opened fire.

Danny de Guzman, 39, the alleged driver of the getaway car, and the suspected gunmen, Randy Malabanan, 44, and Totie Laigo, 64, were arrested in a follow-up operation in Barangay Kaybagal North in  Tagaytay City.

Probers are eyeing a love triangle as the motive for the killing.

In Marawi, a woman allegedly shot dead the 15-year-old third wife of her husband, also on Tuesday.

The suspect, Casmera Ampaso, 40, was arrested. – Michelle Zoleta, John Unson
